U.S. Energy Dataspace

This project is an initiative to create a unified, secure, and accessible platform for energy data management, fostering collaboration and innovation across the energy sector

This project enables secure, role-based data sharing across utilities, researchers, and participants through a federated architecture. It promotes interoperability by standardizing diverse energy datasets (ODIN, EAGLE-I, TASTI-GRID, smart meters, IoT) using CIM ontology and IEC standards. Our team recognizes the sensitive nature of utilities’ territorial data and the importance of trust in collaboration, applying best practices outlined by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST).

We take your security and information protection seriously through:

  • A secure dashboard for utility data uploads
  • Layered roles-and-need-based access control user IDs
  • Comprehensive monthly reviews by subject matter experts in national security systems
